Our Equipment

In collaboration with multi-Aria Award-winning producer Matt Redlich and the recently refurbished Sing Sing Recording Studio in Northcote, we provide state-of-the-art recording facilities and equipment tailored for artists dedicated to achieving professional results.

Our Studio

After recently relocating from Brisbane to Melbourne, Out with the In represents the work of Melbourne-based producer Hugh Middleton.

Hugh brings a wealth of experience as a producer, songwriter, and performer. He is the frontman and sole songwriter of the Brisbane trio Mid Ayr and has also performed as the lead guitarist for The Trouble With Templeton.

Since starting his professional production career in 2017, Hugh has already worked alongside some of Australia’s most esteemed producers, including Matt Redlich (Holy Holy, Ball Park Music, Emma Louise), Alex L’Estrange (Mid Ayr, These Guy, Big Bad Echo), and Sam Cromack (Ball Park Music). In addition to his collaborations, he has independently produced music for artists such as Hope D, Pipin, Asha Jefferies, and Jaguar Jonze.

With a background in both performance and songwriting, Hugh’s production style takes a holistic approach, carefully considering every aspect of a song—lyrics, structure, style, sounds, arrangement, and production—before crafting the final product. As a versatile multi-instrumentalist, Hugh is proficient in guitar, bass, keys, drums, and vocals.
